What trim and equipment do you have on your 850?

Post by SomeGuy537 »

Hello, i thought it would be interesting to see what equipment was offered on the 850 and which trim levels it could be combined with. I couldn't find any complete lists of equipment for this model and the links on volvos own site din't work so i would like to get a clue via this thread instead. You're also welcome to tell me which model year you've got. Please don't mention added on equipment, i'd like to see what your cars had from the factory. I will begin:

94' GLT wagon
-ECC
-Big trip computer
-Wood trimmed dash
-Leather
-Electric seats
-Power windows
-Power mirrors
-Heated mirrors
-Heated rear window
-Sips bag (i've heard this was introduced in 95' but mines a 94' verified by VIN and yet it has it)
-Remote lock
-Tilit/telescope steering wheel
-Cargo cover
-Tie down hooks (unsure if this is optional or standard)
-Plastic matt for cargo area

Equipment i don't have:
-Cruise control
-Front fog lights
-Passenger air-bag
-Sunroof

Yes, that's true. I forgot it. In europe there are a lot of base spec 850's with crank windows and cloth seats etc. In the US i can imagine that most of them had better equipment, that's usually the case with us-spec cars.

I have found Canada often gets higher equipment, even in base spec cars. Not sure I have ever seen a crank window 850! Mind you, we really pay for it too.

If I recall, our 93 850GLT sedan had:

-Electric windows on all 4 doors
-Electric radio antenna
-Top spec radio but no CD player - later replaced with a SC-815 Premium sound unit
-Sunroof
-Driver and passenger airbags
-Programmable drivers electric seat
-SIPS
-Block heater
-2 x door remotes
-Heated front seats
-Headlight wipers and washers

As abscate says, all markets can be different depending on temperatures and what market will stand on prices.

Crank windows are not all that uncommon on 850's here in Finland and Sweden. I forgot to mention i also have heated front seats aswell as headlight wipers and washers. I think the headlight wipers and washers were standard over here. I haven't heard about the electric antenna though. I have an antenna built into the left rear side window on my car aswell as one on the roof. Don't know why there are two of them. I have no idea what radio mine had from the factory, it's been replaced by a stone age esque aftermarket head unit a long time ago i believe.
