Should I sell my 2007 XC90 for $2,600?
I have a 2007 Volvo XC90 with 205,000 miles on and I want to sell it. I am asking for $3,300 and I have dumped over $3,000 into maintenance in the last few months. The car is in stellar condition. Should I sell it for $2,600 because that’s the only offer I have gotten so far. Or should I hold on to it?

Your miles are pushing down the clean retail into the $4100 range.
$3300 is a decent private sale price with no major warts, ready to go XC90, $2700 is a bit of a lowball. If you can wait 3 months or so you will find your $3300 fish
A lot of people in this price range wait for tax returns in March April May

I'm afraid it is not a good time to sell a car. Winter is here - people usually buy in spring/summer, but especially with the pandemic people are keeping a tight look on their expenses

That's too low in your market. If you can wait until spring you should be able to get 3300 or at bare minimum it should be easy to get 3000.

I know, right? I am sickened to think that my car would only sell for $2,600. I do not want to sound rude but if I was selling a 2001 Honda CRV with 398,000 miles and listed it for $11,000 someone would buy it in a minute. Or there might even be a huge bidding war over it. But god forbid unless you’re selling a Corolla or RAV4 or CRV then nobody will buy it. LOL! Tell me I am not right!!

You might want to relist it at $4500 and wait
That’s a lift away from the bare bones price point and get someone in the “looking for better transport “
Great college kid car for four years of low miles, get out in four years wit h most of your money.

Hi abscate,
Even with 200,000 you think I can actually sell it for $4,500? I see other Volvo XC90 cars listed on OfferUp for around $3,200 and less miles than mine and they sit there for months before anyone buys it. The thing that’s really hindering me from selling mine I think is the high mileage which is such a shame because the car is so-well-taken-care-of!
