Just for giggles I created an SCA ACCOUNT to see hoe bad the fees are...ouch

That 250 junker ends up costing almost $800...and that car is still sitting in spot, transport extra

I did the same thing, the auction itself is run by iaai.com , a company that appears to be set up by the auto insurance industry itself. There is a way to register with them as well, but you gotta jump through a bunch of hoops. Kind of the same as copart.
My gut feeling is there is a lot of influence from the recycle industry, and some of the 'recommended brokers' are offshore.
Don't know where SCA is physically located, but every now and then the computer does a little hiccup, and I end up with Polish on the screen.

This is a business that needs to die a putrid death. These non-contributing zeros are trying to make every hulk a $500 stream of revenue for doing nothing but brokering an auction

Any car here is headed for a meltdown with those numbers.

This is what happens when you don't buy it back after a total and also why you can buy it back much cheaper.

Wonder what the hammer dropped at?

Frankly, I wouldn’t have spent $100for that after towing fees, even as a part out, let alone the $600 in fees.

This path is clearly the death spiral for a lot of parts cars after insurance totals. The only ones who will buy these are large breaker yards who aren’t paying those fees and can amalgamate shipping on large car carriers

I wonder what these guys charge the insurance companies to list these? You cam be sure they are leeching off both sides of the sale, it would be good to know for buybacks.
