850 Need advice for new parts

Post by manovlov »

Hy Folks,

I hope you're all fine by these days. I've driven my car this morning out of town. I've respected the time to let the car get on temperature, driven cool 'ill the motorway, respected the speed limits. Everything is fine, and the clutch does its job. A hour outside with my dog to have a walk.

When I came back, the engine idle started to be a little bit unstable. I get to the parking, I waited a couple of minutes and the issu seemed to have disappeared. As I don't like surprises, I would replace parts on a preventive way and need your help to choose the rights ones :

- The IDLE Control valve Ref. 9454745
- Air mass sensor Ref. 1366220(Bosch)
- Camshaft pulse Ref.9146108 (Bosch)

Spark plugs, ignition cable kit rotor and distribution cap are brand new (either OEM or well known brand).

Do you recommend me some specials brands that are as good as OEM, or do I have to stay on these references ?

edit : a little question :
To what does this part serve ? Does it "break" often, and what is the sign this part is out of work, does it have an influence on the way the engine works ?

That in the picture are knock sensors.
They never fail but their wiring could make problems.
They are under intake manifold, just by pcv box.

Iac valve could be cleaned with a brake cleaner and it is
99.9% success.

Maf sensor do fail, but more common is that it's connector that fails.

Iac valve is Bosch,
Maf MUST be Bosch
Knock sensors MUST be Bosch.

Generally....all sensors on these cars MUST be BOSCH(oem),nothing else will work or it will have wrong readings and wrong data(out of spec) sent to ecu.
