Wind Deflectors, who has them and are they worth it?

Post by yanga001 »

Hi Everyone,

So i have been in search of wind deflectors for my p80 and i stayed away from online retailers as they seemed to be too expensive in shipping, customs, or straight up too expensive. I tried to pick up a pair locally, however the seller gave me his word he would hold it before he sold it to someone else. Anyways, i found these on eBay which seem to be a fair price with shipping included: ~60 cad including shipping for a new set.

I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on wind deflectors, if they make a difference, and which ones to stay away from.

US wise they seem really cheap and i have found some 22$ USD which seems to be a steal with free shipping (US ONLY) for my American brethren.

Thanks in advance!

On our 2002 CRV we use to own.

It's best to look for some that inserts into the window channel. Allows you to crack the window some in the rain. Don't have high expectations for effectiveness for the purpose advertised. Mine were cheap as it was a single set (4) returned to the Manufacturer (opened box) and sold on Amazon.

Installed mine when warm and the window from time to time will still think it hit something and roll back down.

Thanks for the offer Abscate, I'm way farther up there (mid ontario) so it would be quite a ways away for both of us. However i would not be opposed to some of the 417 stock that might be around (that is a task for another day). That being said i am wondering if ordering one now would not be a bad idea as i can always stick it on one of the many volvos i have up here. Shipping was downright abusive for most other sellers i saw on eBay.

Northern ON like Toronto?

😀

It’s terrifying how big ON is, I think it reaches the 57th parallel up there near MB

I missed the nice 417 S70 in NJ, someone grabbed it before me. 😂 had an engine and 5 speed all ready to go in.

Yup, i was confused with Detroit but it still about 130 km away from us. Thats unfortunate! The blue ones never stay long for some reason :) Im leaning on just ordering it and putting them on. I hate how the water will spill over from my windshield to the driver window.

I have a set of TeamHeko on mine, pretty happy with those. It's a European brand so not sure if you can get those in NA
I paid around 65$ for the set iirc.
