OEM front suspension components

Post by subzerocarfanatic »

Is there no way or no where to acquire new OEM or aftermarket lower control arm ball joints, i found all the other steering components such as inner and outer tie rod ends and rubber boots but no ball joints, i also found the control arm bushings.

On my s70 the you replace the entire control arm if the ball joint is bad, its likely similar for you. I believe early 850s had a replaceable ball joint but for any later models you'll have to replace the entire arm.

1993/4 years had a aluminum front control arms with bolted on lower ball-joints that were replaceable. I had a guy buy a set I had in my stash as he didn't want to deal with the poor quality aftermarket control arms locally. Fortunately they were all good including the bushes.

If you want a set of these you may have to keep an eye out for a 850 of this vintage and see if it is still on it's lower control arms.
