In desperate need of torque specs '99 v70!

Post by F3ar13ss »

Yikes!

I cannot find anywhere the torque specs for the piston pushrod end caps for a '99 v70. I've even called three dealers and Volvo USA. They tell me they can't give me that information for legal purposes. :o

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :|

Thanks,
--Robert

copied from all data -for my T5 turbo engine. Make sure you keep the ends matched since they are 'cracked' type connecting rods.

Thanks! Would this be the same as the NA engine? (I forgot to mention that)

My Haynes manual for 2000 to 2007 gas engines lists the above specs for waisted (necked) screw with machined face between caps for 2.4 NA engines. If you have fully threaded screw with fractured cap/rod the torque is Stage 1 30 Nm and Stage 2 90 degree

For legal reasons on a 20+ year old car. That's rich. The spec is in VIDA too! Please tell me you'll visit a different dealer when you need parts =)
