Good Morning
2001 S60 2.5 turbo 150,000 miles. It's running like crap. I believe that its the throttle body (again). Starts, runs rough. surges if I hold the gas pedal in a constant position in park. sometimes stall at an idle other times idles okay. In any case I have a wire hanging down on the front left corner (picture 1) I cant find a connection for it within the reach of the wire. I'm hoping that someone can identify it. How much fun would it be to change the throttle body only to find out that the wire was the problem. Thanks in advance for the help

THANK YOU!!! I don't have fog lights but I searched Ebay and found a used one with the wire cut and the plug still attached. It is definitely the fog light connector. Throttle body here I come. OH BOY!!!!

It seems unusual that it has the ports for fog lights, did they get removed at some point?

It’s common for P2 and P80 models to have universal wiring, even if the endpoint features aren’t filled.
