For some odd reason I always thought the C70 skins weren't compatible. Huh.

They aren’t.

The headrest holes are spaced differently

The mount on the bottom of the seat back skin is a bayonet type, vs hog rings on the S/V70

Accessory handles slightly different

Extra handle for the tip forward function

Seat bottom and foam are identical

Seat back foam is not -,and C70 cars kept mechanical SIPS longer than the S/V70 chassis so the seat back foam won’t match a 1999- S/V70

Im still getting the seat back tight and finalized but it looks ok and feels great

Nice! Yeah, I'm sure the back will tighten up nicely with a little work. Glad to see them going to good use!

I thought the foam bases were different, but I'm pleased to learn otherwise. It should make sourcing better condition foam bases easier. Good news for 850 owners too, with regards to the backs being the same.

Im not sure how much of the difference is C70 vs S/V70 and how much is mechanical vs electronic SIPS bag. The SIPS bags are definitely different shapes. I do have a 1998 V70 seat I will try and compare with the C70

The new seat foam from an unused C70 passenger seat is fantastic. Me and my 6 footer+ daughter will appreciate that, while the rest of the crowd who blow away in the wind probably wont notice.
