850 Radio Replacement - 1996 850

I am attempting to replace my SC-710 radio unit with an SC-811 unit, in a 1996 850.

Can anyone advise how I might find an adapter or other solution to overcome the lack of an "amp" wire and plug to go in the "amp" port in the SC 811?

Is there any reason you picked a SC-811 other than a later say SC-815/816 which have the cassette and CD player?

I cannot see the back of either the SC-710 or 811 unit to see what they have in the way of outputs/inputs. Can you possibly post pictures of the respective units or even of the backs of both side by side?

What other things do you have attached to the unit? Do you have an amp or CD player attached?

AFAIK, You shouldn't NEED an external amp for any
P80 HU besides an SC-900 or SC-901. The 811 should
have an internal amp. Just plug it in and ignore the
811's amp jack.

I'm just trying to replace the SC-710 with a unit that has an operating cassette player, so I can use a bluetooth adapter.

Pics are attached. The SC-710 is silver, and the SC-811 is black.

When the SC-811 is installed, with the amp port empty, the display reads "OFF", and it is otherwise unresponsive.

Shouldn't this 850 have the necessary plugs for either unit?

If not, is there perhaps an adapter I could use?

I see no external amp, but it may be hidden down by the heater core.
The car does have a 6-CD changer in the trunk.
I chose the SC-811 because it was cheap, and I am simply seeking a working cassette player, for using a bluetooth adapter.

The "OFF" message I believe (memory is failing me) is not because the unit is bad but because someone has tried to enter the CODE 3 times and have locked you out. I can't recall now but there is a process for fixing that issue so you can get back to entering the code. Do you have the code for the SC-811?
