please help p80 woes

Post by Robertmac100029 »

Hey all I have three questions. I put a 2001 t5 engine into a 99 v70 originally a lpt . I have ironed out most of the stuff....

I keep getting the ecm code 530D malfunction indicator lamp (mil) faulty signal
I keep getting the tcu codes 0023/0087 the permanent one is engine speed (RPM) sensor Signal missing

also i am getting df 13 and df 16 DIM can bus h signal too high and can bus signal too low..

any input will help. I have tried changing the transmission speed sensor.

somewhere I read that I need to change both external sensors on transmission and I dont know where the other one is or what it is so please feel free to explain that as well.

Put each chassis into the volvowebstore.com engine and pull up part numbers fit each sensor; they need to be the same

The parts engine makes you enter your model, year, engine, and body type....or you can PUT in your VIN, then pulls up the specific parts for your car

Does your check engine light light up in position 2 before you start the car?

I installed a 01 T5 into a 00 S70 LPT.

I didn't have any issues with transmission sensors. Just had to get the ECU tuned for the bigger turbo and injectors. I did see a MIL communication issue in Vida, but i don't have a CEL. Did you get the ECU tuned ? If so, did tuner mess with the torque limiter ?

Nobody in Utah. I had it done through Rolling Motors in CT. People recommend VAST tuning also. You need to get it tuned. Makes a big difference. Im boosting to about 15psi. I think its actually faster than my R.
