I put it in the back corner of the garage amidst the clutter, where the vise usually sits. Supported underneath by a 4x4, secured to the bench by old strut bolts and to the back wall by heavy metal braces, it's not going anywhere! It is just a walk-up to change the springs, or readjust to get them sitting just right in the mounts, etc.
I'll resell it pretty soon when I'm done with these jobs, otherwise it would sit years between strut jobs and it eats up a lot of space. Wish I'd found something like it years ago though, just changed far too many with the death sticks.
What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

Let me look at spring schedule

Whew that's nice! I've got a set of 'death sticks' like Mo/BKM. Maybe Abscate will host a spring retreat if he's the proud new dad of the nutbuster? Seems he needs it most as caretaker to the 5 girls...6? 10! The tomcats will be out yowling on the fences after this covid madness is over. We should probably send him pitchforks and such too for defense.

No tools needed. Mom Grew up in a nasty part of Brooklyn And has extreme
Urban survival skills. She was also one of two girls in Engineering at Brooklyn Poly in the 1970s. Each one of ours took a really good self defense course at a local University. When Our youngest and smallest took the final ( a stged assault ) she knocked three guys out of their protective combat gear.
If those Tomcats get into trouble here, all I need is popcorn and a lawn chair

Alright go girls! I'll be PMing you for parenting tips if I can start baking my own bun. I've already picked baby's first ratchet out of my toolbox. I figure my broken Matco 1/4" is just the right size for the little monster. I'll definitely find someone to weld on a socket though. Can't have that be a choking hazard.

Replaced a leaking power steering hose (nothing strange after 20 years of use) and did a flush of the fluid. I had a mini panic attack as it had the old minderal ATF fluid in it. Followed the video below and was instantly calmed down

Remember the comic strip 'Calvin and Hobbs'? Calvin was always asking for chain saws and explosives.abscate wrote: ↑05 Feb 2021, 04:05A stick welder makes a good toddler gift.
