Hi guys,
I'm a new owner of a XC90 phase I / 2004 T6 2.9l.
I buy recently this model, with several troubles I all solved with the help of VIDA, replacing parts and clearing DTC.
Except : Air quality sensor & Airbag message + light displayed
- CCM-001F Air quality sensor signal too high.
I've change the sensor with no result.
I don't know how to control :
- short circuit in power supply cable
- open circuit in signal cable
a serie of 3 Airbag DTC
- SRS-00D5 SRS Communication Lamp Default
- SRS-0041 SIPS Bag , Right Front, signal too low
- SRS-0107 SIPS Bag, Right Front, circuit fault
I've checked the connector of the front right Airbag, spray electrical product for perfect connexion.
VIDA indicate the electric problem is solved (green light in details tab, but Message is still display and DTC still ON with orange light in VIDA/Initial State).
DTC still present, impossible to withdraw with VIDA using the DIAGNOSTIC/FAULT/SRS MODULE SELECT/DELIVERY/ERASE SRS or ERASE ALL
What is strange for me is the VIDA delivered informations :
if I 2-click on the default to see details on SRS-0041 for example (the same for SRS-0107)
CONCLUSION : no fault found by the DTC during current operation cycle but previously. If possible fulfil operational conditions where fault is active and can be found again.
Current Operation cycle : GREEN
Previous operation cycle : RED
Historical graph indicate DTC happens in the past, 32 000+ cycle ago.
The STATUS IDENTIFIER indicate :
SI 01 DTC test is running = YES
SI 02 DTC Completed at least once during current operation cycle = YES
SI 03 Sporadic Fault ... last time ... = NO
SI 04 Sporadic Fault ... current .... = NO
SI 05 Warning indicator requested = YES
SI 06 DTC TEST INHIBITED = YES
This last SI seems to indicate that the default is permanent because ECU won't pass the test anymore ???
I think there is no real world problems anymore, but CEM keep the memory of the trouble and refuse to pass the test anymore ?
I don't know if my understanding is correct.
I can't imagine the way out of the nightmare.
How can I clean this AIRBAG DTC ?
P.S. : I can send a .doc file with hardcopy of VIDA.
VIDA helps but can't solve AIRBAG DTC nightmare

Click on Delivery Tab, click on Erase All, click Ok to confirm erase and take a screenshot your current errors codes after this procedure.

This morning, I have unplugged the right front Airbag connector(disconnect the battery first of course).
The DTC are still the same with red icons instead of yellow.
I have plug the connector again, ERASE SRS, and the DTC are Yellow again, but still present.
In details tab, it is GREEN in the first row (actual test).
But still RED in the second row, for previous tests.
I've tried to clear DIM : no effect

It appears you have a wiring issue somewhere. Either a break in the wiring where it is causing a minor grounding short or some moisture corrosion.
Which air bag are you playing with and why? From your codes I assume it the one that runs down the windshield pillar on the passenger side. This could have gotten wet from a sunroof drain leak.

Many thanks for your help.
My car is "without Sun Roof", "Right Hand Drive" (import from England)
Airbag DTC is from Front Right, in the pilar at the right of the driver seat, to protect his head.
I have unplugged the connector, spray electrical dedicated product and plug the connector again.
What is stuning for me, is the GREEN icon in the Detail tabs (please see my 2nd attachment)
I don't understand if :
- the "real world wiring problem" has been solved
or
- Is it only a CEM or DIM or SRS problem that avoid DTC to withdraw ?
At the end of the 2nd attachment, you can read Status Identifier #6 of the DTC (all the same) :
- SI06 DTC test inhibited
I'm not a wizzard at all, I've start to use VIDA for the first time few weeks ago.
So I asked myself if electonic system block reset ?
Any advice of experienced user is welcome ...
I have no idea of what to do in a clever way.
As I explain previously, I have unplugged the front right connector on yesterday and launch VIDA.
DTC are the RED, not YELLOW.
The I plug again, and launch VIDA, DTC are YELLOW, and detail icon is GREEN for actual status.
So I think real world wiring is now OK, and it is a electronic module that avoid reset.
32000 cycles have record the DTC, so maybe a counter pass a memory to "persist default" ???
Any experienced VIDA user can explain the last screenshot of VIDA :
- How can I use "Frozen values and counters" ?
- What is the final process to withdraw the DTC ?

Your posted cycle readings are 33501, 33792 and 32811. Have they changed at all? Run the vehicle a few times and see if any of the figures go up. They should.
Report back.

Vehicule run "On Demand" this week
The values are not the same for DTC SRS-0041 (for example, the same as previously)
