I've got one from a 1998. That should work.

I've done just that a couple times at the junkyard: cut the loom, harvested the ECU plugs. It is the way to go for the flashing station!Goupil wrote: 12 Feb 2021, 15:03 I got a spare M4.4 from this seller a few months ago, seems like 100$ is about the price for one nowadays

Does anyone knows if I can find a brand new female ecu plug ? I would like to make a flashing station, and to get a plug of a donor car you need to cut the loom![]()
I doubt you can still get them new.

Same. That's what I built my flashing harness from. JY ECU and OBD2 socket parts.erikv11 wrote: 12 Feb 2021, 15:35

Just stumbled across this thread, and you beat me to the crack about the water-borne road trip. When the weather slacks up a bit, I'll harvest the harness from the '98 GLT parts bin. Now that metal prices are up, that one is headed for the crusher.abscate wrote: 12 Feb 2021, 15:28 I've got one from a 1998. That should work.

Can we save the engine and head on that puppy? If itβs just bent valves itβs good not to throw a good head away.foggydogg wrote: 14 Feb 2021, 13:03Just stumbled across this thread, and you beat me to the crack about the water-borne road trip. I'll give a concrete Maybe on that, depends on local help and my patience. It's not like there's any shortage of projects here. My big focus at the moment is the S60 T5/'00 XC transplant. I'll probably strip the S60 first though. Pulling the harness out of the '98 just seems like a short task mostly standing up during a break in the weather kinda thing. Not that southern Delaware can contest Albany on snotty weather.
