Hilarious Volvo video

Post by wrybread »

Yes, I admit it, I'm up late watching Volvo videos. This one is particularly hilarious:

"It's like a sort of late 80s hifi system". Touche.

I watched some of the "regular guys" videos the other night (I think starting w/something you linked two years ago).

Hilarious. Odd. Disturbing. The 240 one was classic. The S60R one had a nice riff - "Because? VOLVO!"

Good stuff!

Even with that horrible voice the Creator bestowed upon him, I’ll take Scotty Kilmer over these guys, because he has has subject knowledge. But, if these guys make you laugh, that’s all good!

Anything to laugh about in these times is good!

Ha totally agreed. They have so many classic lines. I'm embarrassed to admit how much I like their review of the 240. So good.

The guys in that video above have a few choice moments too. Starting from 9:30 are some gems:

The great stuff really starts at 10:08, but it's worth watching from that point for their description of a turbo.

I'll never be able to look at the clock on my dashboard again without hearing the words "beautiful, harsh, digital, Casio calculator instrumenty action".

And comparing old Volvos to 80s stereos is just too funny. My car's spiritual cousin:
