Brake booster sensor '05 V70

I am replacing the brake booster sensor on my '05 V70 2.5T AWD

I can't get the new snap ring (or old one either) to lock in the new booster sensor.

Any hints/tips?

I put the ring on the housing and then pushed the new booster into position but it won't lock and I can pull it back out again.

Help! ..... love the car but sometimes it can be so frustrating.

SOLVED - I have cruise control!

Make sure the rubber is pushed over the shoulder on the brake booster and push the ring into the locking clip on the booster sensor with a flat blade screwdriver.
