Worked on the rack today

15 mm nuts came off the bottom of the rack with the small impact

18mm Tie rod ends with the big impact, used the HF tire iron trick to tension the right one when the tie rod end started spinning

The 14mm rack to mount bolt is still tight - put some heat and PBB on it to return
Also heated the two PS line flare fittings in anticipation of cracking those off soon.

Released the wire clip and the steering shaft fitting - 10mm hex head bolt into a 13mm hex head nut

After one hour both my propane and sharpie froze - signs I should be inside - another Sharpie showed up though

I'm halfway ready to throw up a tent and propane heater on the driveway to be able to work on my cars. The rain here is never ending!

Weather nice today

Couldn’t get power steering lines moving from unions

Do not have rack separated from column yet

Hung engine on frame, removed rear subframe screws and brackets, removed two m8 from engine mount, front torque rod

Dropped subframe in rear about 3 inches

Good access at unions , should come off easily

Rack is free on left side of car, still feels tight on right side

Similar to our own Abscate, they also replace troublesome 777 engines out in the snow.....

Extra Credit chits for the cockpit crew. Getting back on the ground with one windmilling ( and on fire ) at gross weight is no small feat.
