Rear Brake Lights 2011 XC70

Trying to figure out if there are 3 rear brake lights or 5 on the 2011 XC70.
I'm sure the vertical lights to the left & right of the rear glass window are brake lights, as well as the light at top of rear window, but what about the left & right lens listed as "Running/brake light" in the attachment photo.
Should these lights illuminate when brakes are pressed?

My son's 2011 XC70 only has the three rear brake lights surrounding the rear window.
Anyone know if this car is supposed to have the 4th and 5th lights light up when brakes applied?
Pretty sure i got that screenshot from this web site - and they are described as "running/brake lights".

Looks to me like #1 on your diagram shows brake lights which are not coming on in our car. Thank you.

Set the Parking Brake with the engine running and see if #1 comes on.
