A Volvo with the manual option is one in which I just stop, stare at it, heart beat rate increases, and I'm like THAT'S the one. But there's always something wrong. Too expensive, not appear to be well taken care of, not an insightful description even after talking with seller. That 04 v70 t5 Movolvos shared is cool, but because of the manual paired with the 2.3. It is pretty much a 98 t5 with a new body style and a boat load more electronics. I have wanted a manual since before my first car (my 09 impala 3.5) and I think I've learned just enough that I could be ready for a manual. Has anyone ever paired a manual with an s80 t6? Imagine the T6 with an M66. Oooooooo.

I've owned the 98 2.3 Auto, currently the 03 T6 Auto and 08 T5 M66. Not worth the effort for a T6 M66 as the HP is 268. May need beefing and all that work for little gain. The 4 Auto in the T6 is actually very nice but a little tall for the city. Downshifts can be explosive if you are not paying attention. I once almost missed an interchange and put my foot down the last minute switching lanes, WOW!

The 09 C30 Auto vs 08 C30 M66 differs little and it' easy for a slow or missed shift. Driven lots of 5M and the 6M is not as intuitive, sometimes forgetting there is a 6th and from 6th to 3rd.

I have dropped the 960 as an option. I am a DIYer to the extreme and my experience with O2 sensors and lack of oil pan access brought me to this choice. There might never be another engine like the 2.9N/A. Maybe a 2004 s80 2.9 could be a second option down the road.

I think my goal is to buy my first manual wagon. Either a 740/760/940 with i4 turbo or 96-97 850/98 V70. Less electronics, more fun.

For long term reliability & longevity/ DIY work, the N/A. But, can’t beat the T5 for driving.

Working on the RWD is a breeze, much more easier than on the P80 imo.
I have way more fun driving my fathers 940T than my V70 T5, don't know if it's the turbo spooling quicker or the RWD, HOWEVER, the P80s are much more comfortable, secure, sound is top notch.
