Power steering pump follow up

Power steering pump follow up

Hi everybody.

This is a follow up from this thread: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=96915&p=571199#p571199

I made a video of the pump making funny noises here:

And this is just the sound, you can hear it much better:

Now the question is this: Is it the pump? Or the bearing on the pulley? Is it possible to repair the pump?

The pump itself has never been replaced. Production date 2/39/05


Lastly, today when I was filling up, there was a leak. I am guessing that it is fuel filler neck that is leaking. As there are no leaks when the car is parked overnight.

The best way to find a fuel leak is to crawl under, and look for the telltale stain on the undercoating, tracing it to the point of origination.

spray the pulleys with water squirt bottle to find the squeeky wheel.
