What did you lost/find at the junkyard ?

I don't know if this would be a fun or sad topic, but I wonder what are your stories about tools lost or find at the junkyard ? Just recently I put down my 2ft pry bar and forgot about it, was surprised to find it still there after 5 minutes

Back when I had a 91 Saab 900 turbo, I left my "big" repair manual there. I went back the next day and explained to the checkout guy that I had left it there. Another 90 mile round trip. but I slept better after that book was home. BTW after owning many cars throughout my life, that Saab was my favorite.

This reminds me of the Robert DIY story where he turned around and someone had snatched his entire tool box.

I found a $20 bill a couple years ago on the backseat of car. We used to spend a lot of time in the junkyard when I was 16 and just started driving. Always had a need for used parts to maintain our beaters.
One of our favourite activities was "launching" valve lifters from hood spring arms. They would launch so far that they'd go out of sight! Never knew where they landed but it was probably a mile away!

Found money and lost my wallet , i always find coins under the centre console carpet. Left my wallet on the roof of my car as i had my hands full, then drove off. luckily it was handed in and i got it back, NEVER leave anything on the roof of your car.

I've wandered around trying to recall where I put my tool bag down.
As long as I find volvos I'm good.
