It is a $500 car max, low mileage or not. No one want to fix the fuel lines other than abscate or me and I won't even consider it again without a hoist.
If it was only an axle and a wheel bearing then maybe $1000, but it never is.
Neil.

I kinda figured you would glom on the '...fuel line' once you saw it.
Didn't know if you were going to try to populate the Long Island annex with a fresh stash of P80s.
And as I mentioned elsewhere, I think I have enough stuff now.

Kinda sad these cars don't seem to have much value. The '04 T5 I bought as a motor donor for my Good Car would've been an easy bare-hand fix, but just isn't worth it.MoVolvos wrote: ↑25 Apr 2021, 19:32 *

Bare-hand fix use to be interesting and an enjoyment of accomplishment but age is a huge factor now so yes, it's a no!foggydogg wrote: ↑26 Apr 2021, 17:57Kinda sad these cars don't seem to have much value. On another topic, I got the recall letter today that parts are now available for the airbag recall. I know you're mentioned it a couple times before, they certainly took their time to get the new airbags in stock!

I was staring at the first Recall letter yesterday and was wondering if they will ever get that second letter out on parts being available. I will check the VIN against their website or wait another couple of days. Thanks!bmdubya1198 wrote: ↑26 Apr 2021, 22:04On another topic, I got the recall letter today that parts are now available for the airbag recall. Still no bids on this 850R with title issues,
https://www.capitalautoauction.com/inve ... 7d8b0840d1
On the block Saturday.
Maybe somebody up that way can rescue it. I inquired about the sale restrictions with my guy at the DC HQ and they recommended contacting the NH office directly. Their Philly location will occasionally mention "No NJ residents" on some of their listings - no clue about that either. It's almost like they don't really want to sell the poor things.
