Sheared water pump bolt

It’s 985151 for the correct water pump bolt, 7 pieces.

It’s an M7 x 25 mm bolt with lock compound on the threads.

I’ve never read of the AISIN pump being different from OeM, can you easily confirm the bolt lengths or water pump difference ?

Asin is the original water pump. Some of the Asin Aftermarket water pumps have the word Volvo ground off of them to keep things legal.

Yeah i would like to know how that works. The pumps most certainly even comes from the same factory.

The same part can be made in the same factory, but not have the same QC.

The classic is the rejected parts are thrown in a dumpster, then picked and sold on eBay to people who think they are getting a deal. A failed water pump might go at 25,000 miles instead of 250,000 miles at which point any recourse is gone.

Asin does have a reputation to protect. I don't think Asin's management is idiotic enough to let junk on the market with their name associated with it. The one I have came in a Asin box.
