XC60 Steering Rack Replacement

My 2012 XC60 has been leaking steering fluid for months. Mechanic replaced the steering lines, as he said that was the problem, but now it leaks even worse. I do some repairs but can’t replace a steering rack myself so I am looking at options because it is so expensive to have done. There is a place online that has been in business for 20 years and offers a 3 year warranty on a remanufactured Rack, so I am considering that vs spending $1500 for a new one. Has anyone replaced theirs with a remanufactured Rack? Are they likely to fail and need replacement again?
