I was wrong. I didn't need a wire to turn on the subwoofer. The original Volvo harness has all the needed wires.
It works!
Thank you Stu70.
All the best.

Gents,
I wonder if you can help.
I’ve just done the same & wired in a sub to my 55 plate v70.
Power is on. 12v permanent.
Ground is connected.
Violet wire to D7 is showing something like 0.07v ignition off/12v ignition on. (Connected to the live wire), this switches off after 5 mins presumably to let the fan run.

The issue I have is that the amp is powered up and fan keeps running whether the ignition is on or off, or whether the violet wire is connected or not.

Have double checked all connections, but even with the key out the led is on and the fan is spinning.

I wonder if it’s the fan or amp that are the issue?
Any ideas?

DJFish, I know it's been quite some time, but did you find any solution to your problem? It looks like I have the same issue. Thank you!
