Creaking driver seat- P80

I've been searching around for a common fix for this, but it seems this issue is less common than I thought. Or at least less cared about.
My driver seat in my V70R is incredibly creaky. If I lean forward or backward while sitting in the seat (not adjusting it) it creaks very loudly. I cleaned and lubed all of the adjustment gears and tracks, and made sure everything along the tracks is nice and tight. I finally decided to pull the seat out of the car earlier and see if I could find what's going on, but there isn't anything loose from what I can tell. It's definitely creaking between the track and the seat itself, but nothing is loose.

I folded down the back rest (seems to only be a thing on 2000s for the driver seat... I still don't know why Volvo thought the driver seat needed to fold down) because I realized some of the creaking was from that area, and it looked pretty dry. Greased it up, no difference.

From what I can hear, it's creaking most from the tilt mechanism on the front of the seat, and the backrest.

Does anybody have any fix for this? It's incredibly annoying. My passenger seat doesn't do it, at least not nearly as bad. In fact, it's nearly silent... that's how I want my driver seat to be!

I don't have a solution but have the exact same issue - only it's the passenger seat. It's all you hear when someone is sitting there.

The passenger seat in my bimmer made a squeaking sound when someone sat in it. Turned out to be such an easy fix as a missing bolt. Worth checking.

Could it be the springs on the seat lower part? There are four powerful springs in the rear which pull the foam tight onto the seat shape that can rub on stuff, especially if they aren’t seated fully.

Good call, I'll take a look at those today. It's very possible that they're rubbing on something.

I don't think there are any missing bolts, everything was actually tight too, to my surprise! Had an issue with a broken bolt on my Mountaineer when I bought it. The passenger seat back was permanently reclined completely. Turns out one of the two big T50s that hold the back rest in place had snapped. Easy to extract and replace, fortunately.

I thought I had an issue with my seat creaking, it turned out to be the seatbelt rubbing against the piping on the seat. Some felt tape later and the problem was solved.

Checked the springs earlier, definitely not the source of the noise. I knew that would be too easy.

The other fix, of course, is a louder radio.
