Parking Break Service Required Message after New Brake Pads and Rotors

Post by pshdars »

I had new pads and rotors installed on my 2012 Volvo S60 and the message "parking brake service required popped up" the technician was not able to clear it because the OBD2 port is "unreadable". I had him check the fuses and all seems well. Can anyone advise my next trouble shooting steps? The parking break is working correctly.

need to fix the data port.
I believe it gets 12v from the same circuit as the cig lighter, check that fuse.
