Sold it...for $3,300...complete with shagged DMF and clutch throwout bearing. It's replacement is currently sat on the drive, taking up roughly 2/3rds the space. I think I'll miss it, once I get over being a sourpuss about it giving me such nonsense at the end.

Something completely different. A ZC31S Suzuki Swift Sport. I was missing driving N/As, and needed something fairly new and reliable to soak up the mammoth commute. The fact it's a hoot in the corners also helps... Won't set the world on fire, though, that's for sure.

Probably the end of my P80 journey though, as prices are going bonkers over here and I'll soon be very much priced out. Mine, whilst facing a bill of $900 in parts alone (stupid DMF), still sold for $1500 more than I bought it for in good condition. That's after 3 years and 49,000miles.

Petrol costs on that US-style commute must have been excruciating. Enjoy the new ride, I hope another Volvo cones your way someday

I was eking 34.7 UK mpg out of it, which isn't terrible. Certainly costly, all the same.

P80 prices are quite a bit higher over there... they're still dirt cheap over here!
