Tough call, but I will go with the 1982. I have grown to like some of the newer features like lots of air bags, ABS, more power, better seats, and quieter ride. However, the nostalgia factor wins.

The breaking-away of the traditions of Volvo (naming, base options, comfort to luxury), the samo samo with the undersized-motor, the drop in quality, and the ridiculous line of cars all push me away from liking the newer Volvos. I'm referring to the 2015-16+ models. None of the 05+ models appeal to me except the 07+ xc90 v8

My vote is clear. New Volvos (or any other brand really) just don't do it for me for many reasons. I draw the line in 2007 which when the last P2 V70's left the factory.
