Drivers seat adjustment - 2000 V70R

Is there any way to adjust the seat runners to give more rearward motion for taller drivers? I raised this issue before as the seatbelt is also tight (and not just because of my girth )!!

When I had the 2000 V70 base (also electric drivers seat adjustment) I know I had more legroom and the seatbelt was not as tight.

At the time I looked to see if there was an issue with the seatbelt, but if I recall correctly, the length of the seatbelts was the same.

Not that I know of, but I hope others know more because this is an interesting topic. I'm average sized at 6'1 but really like the all the way back position of the manual seats

I guess worst case I have to pull the seat and see if there is any way to adjust the position of the seat rails.

I'm hoping someone might know if this can be done or if it is a non-starter.

Very interesting subject and something I have been pondering as well.

When I replaced the driver seat in my S70 I noticed that it goes back a bit further than the old one. My old one was probably original to the car, which is a 99'. But the replacement might be from a 2000. Perhaps Volvo made a little change for the new model year giving taller drivers more space?

I still have the old seat. When I get a moment tonight I will see if there are any differences in the runners.

Hi Dirk. That would be appreciated. The issue I have is that both cars are 2000 MY with power seats but the 'R' does not seem to go back as far as the V70 NA, both with power seats. I have owned/driven various P80'd and not had this lack of leg room with any others. Weird!

Hmm. That is strange indeed. Probably far fetched, but could something small have fallen into the rail and get stuck at the end?

Good suggestion. I will look again, but did have the seat out at one point and didn't see anything then but still worth checking.

With some flat bar, you should be able to fabricate adapters that will shift the seat backward for more legroom.

Too tight seat belt is an easy one. Seat Belt extender.

Cut Sugar out of the diet and eat more fats. Sugar consumption is the cause of forward overhang not fats consumption.
The body uses fats as energy efficiently. Sugar get converted to fat and stored.

This is why so many people are always tired. Energy is being used to convert the massive amounts of Sugar in food today to fat and stored instead of powering the body.
