07 Traction control errgh

Post by julesr_23 »

Hey, I recently bought this 07 C70 T5, I am fairly impressed, except for the traction control feature. Living in a "wintery" climate, we've got snow and ice for 6 months of the year, so we've all had to become quite apt at driving in slippery conditions. Although the C70 handles well in dry conditions, as soon as there's any ice - the traction control engages and cuts the power to the wheels (SO annoying!). I know you're supposed to be able to turn it off, but i'd like to turn it off permanently - can this be done? Does anyone else feel that this model looses traction rather easily (no matter the conditions)? It just seems that you pay 60k for a "sport" car you have certain expectations.
Thanks.
Cheers,
