It is indeed a misinformation. I'll write to RockAuto.
Parts from Volvo of Lisle usually offers a 15% OFF during their summer sales events https://parts.volvocarslisle.com/p/Volv ... 84245.html.
TASCA price makes sense.

The RockAuto customer service wrote back; it authorizes a return and full refund.
I now have the options; a) return and order Volvo; b) keep driving on DELPHI GN10558 under warranty since there is neither ignition nor performance issues at this time.
Your thoughts?
FWIW, our 2001 V70XC has 60,000+ miles on IPD ignition coils, not Bosch – runs strong.

XHEART,
I do have reservations about parts made in China (I've been to China many times, only for work, never for fun)
However with the proper controls in place excellent products can be made in China.
And the team at DELPHI is not to be under estimated. As you pointed out they have been around for a very long time and they are a very successful company. I believe that they can be trusted. To put it into perspective I don't have any problem using Brake Rotors made in China as long as they come in a box from Brembo or Bosch (I won't use a brand that I've never heard of)
For me personally I never send things back.
I would use the DELPHI parts.
Let us know what you decide to do.
Good luck
Paul

A thorough cleaning of original 6 Volvo ignition coils do not show any visible sign of deterioration - cracks, oxidation, burnt marks etc - so I'm keeping all six as a spare set.
Being a preemptive DIYer, the choice to purchase and install DELPHI GN10558 is exactly as you said. FCP shows same manufacturer sku DEL-GN10558 for its kit.
Our XC90 is running on DELPHI for more than a week without issues, plus RockAuto's 3-Year Warranty, $110+ saving, and no reported problem are reasons enough to stay on. DELPHI could just be a DIYer's choice for 3.2 I6!

Cleaning and replacing original crankcase. It is held down with 14 T30 screws; be careful with removing the female connector housing clipped on to the unit.

XHEART,
it does look like you have a little oil in the passage way near cylinder #6.
This small area (its very clean) is on the far side of the diaphragm so at idle it sees engine vacuum.
A lot of oil in this area indicates a problem but you have a small amount.
Be careful cleaning I cut my hand severely on the sharp edges
Thanks
Paul

It is sharp, even the fingernail can find a slit if not careful.
A tablespoon full of oil, thick like honey, was in the corner pit.

My apologies for the bad explanation.
The concern is the oil at the other end of the cylinder head.
If the Diaphragm isn't working well then oil will pool in the port at the back of the engine. Note: the concern is the oil that is being burned by the engine.
Take care
Paul
