Vida CEM swapping

Hello All! Can anyone help me? I bought a volvo s60 2001, the CCM did not work correctly, A/C cant be turned on and after ignition off fan stay blow about 1 minute (VIDA say that CCM in limp-home mode). Errors in VIDA ccm-e003, cem-1a55. I don’t know if the CCM was replaced before, but i think it is from other car(bottom line buttons didnt fit car configuration). Should I reprogram CCM? And how I can do that?

Darn! Buss rails push out the under side of the solderless breadboard. Shorted and killed Power supply regulation. Voltage jumped to 10V and took out everything else on the build. No more solderless breadboard unless it is bolted to a plate.

Ordered parts to build another. This time soldered breadboard so everything will stay put. Also with soldered breadboard I can place the CAN transceivers next to the Teensy 4.0 and eliminate some of the jumpers. That should make a quieter PIN cracker.

That was why I had Max's boards made...
Nice and compact, only wire is the USB cable

The Max board is pretty much what I plan on doing later. Except I am going to fit it in a "ELM327 case" and put 5 Christmas lights on it, Power, Program, CAN-HS, CAN-LS and K-line.

Does the Max board route the Tennsy program pin to an unused pin on the OBD connector? That way you would not need to open the case each time you need to get to the program button.

How does the regulator on the Max board hold up without a heat sink? It looks like over kill for the amount of current needed.

I'm thinking of use a Buck converter which does not need a heat sink. But then again there are surface mount regulators that can handle the current needed.

Doesn't run the prog pin to the connector, but a short wire and you'd be set. I was wondering about the regulator, but after an hour plugged into the Volvo verifying cracking multiple times, I put a finger on it and it was barely warm.

Sounds like it has plenty of mass to dissipate the amount of heat it produces at the low current used.
