I'm sure you aren't as into ghetto fixes as me, but I deleted my muffler and just bolted on a 3 foot piece of 2.5" pipe with a 45 bend on it. Already replaced my muffler once under 3 years ago and I'm not forking out another $500. Now the wife's ride has that souped up Honda civic sound!

Happened to our 01 V70. My wife was at the gas station and a lady ask my wife if a animal had gotten into our muffler.......
