Good day folks! I've been looking for information on how to replace the lower dash panel on the passenger side of the interior on a Volvo 850 for a while now but haven't been able to find much of value. Not even RobertDIY has a video on this as far as i've seen. Does anybody know of a video or picture guide that covers this procedure? I've had a replacement part lying at home for half a year now but haven't gotten around to doing it lol. I'm linking to a picture of the panel here below. In case of any confusion i'm talking about the panel at the top of the picture. Many thanks!

The passenger side one is fairly quick, you can do it in less than 10 minutes. I can't recall on an 850. but I think you have to pull the glove box out first to access the screws along the top edge. There is I think a support near the inner side closest to the bulkhead you have to get the cover on to support it when re-fitting.
The driver's side looks like it has to go over the steering column which will require removal of the steering wheel and the turn signal arm and the windshield washer stalk as well. That will take a while if you have not done that before and has some risks with the clock-spring for the horn and ABS. There should be posts on that part out there.

Look @ the heater core videos, robertDIY or FCP's. They clearly show how the dash panel is removed, IIRC. 850 is three small screws no need to remove glove box, again from memory. As always, a certain amount of jostling is required to remove/replace. Likely this has to come out for side panel to be moved, I'm guessing it snaps in to place, but yes you'll play with it and get it. Maybe this also doesn't answer your question.
