850 Estate Vs Sedan Project Manov to come ?

Post by manovlov »

Hy Buddies,

I need to know your mind on a question about a car near my place. I have a 850 Estate, petrol, manual. Thre is a 850 Sedan to sell near my place, petrol and manual too.

Is there a interest to buy it when the 2 body shapes are differents ? I think that is not possible to switch backseat Sedan to Estate...

The interior is BEIGE, which could interest me, the driver seat is ruined, a second engine to work on, a manual transmission, body parts, heat seats and options.

I would like to have your opinion on this project.

Thanks.

Manov

That's a 10v car!
Totally different than yours 20v.
Engine and sensors are useless.

You seems to think that it is not a good idea... I would prefer find an estate with BEIGE interior of course...

There is not much you can use from it.
All vital and expensive parts are useless since it's 10v.
Rear seats are not interchangeable and front one is blown.
What could you use from it?

+1 with Misha on this. My parents had a 10V and it was a great car for them. Eventually sold for scrap as they both had to give up driving. If the purpose it to fix and drive/own a 2nd car then if it is cheap enough then possibly. The biggest issue is the interior. Finding a replacement for the front seats could be a challenge as that beige is the worst for longevity as you can see.

AS for the parts. Like misha says, not too much from the engine bay, but maybe the body parts from the rear doors forward can be useful if they match your current car. Otherwise, pass on it and find another wagon.

Neil.
