Hi,

Just got a Vida Dice unit from China. It needs to get to work. I'm computer savvy. Please let me know how to go about doing an install, preferably non-VM, Windows 10 Home.

Hi Rick,

Awesome. Very slick. What a gem. Perhaps I'm checking in with you prematurely, but would you please take a look at some install prompts generated through the 2cd script and let me know if we're still on track to begin the 3rd script, followed by 2014A-B-D-2099.exe patch.

Hi Rick,

Sorry, I forgot the prompts... here are 5 screen grabs. I probably should mention in script 2 there was a prompt to save something to "C\". Perhaps I should have directed that prompt to "VIDA" or "VIDASave".

Leave it at C\ . It will find the VIDA install.

tskill ( Task Kill ) is an artifact from the Windows XP era. Ignore it, it does nothing on Windows 7, 8 and 10. Because it is not included or needed in Windows 7, 8 & 10.

Hi Rick,

Thank you so much. Got it. The Java prompt popped up after reboot, and access granted. There's no Vida Monitor icon on desktop, and when loading that app a small windows opens and closes immediately.VIDA All-In-One loads, and takes my vehicle VIN.

No LED is active when the DICE is plugged into USB port. Not sure, but it seems "Blinking yellow - USB communication in progress" is expected (or is that between the Volvo & DICE).

The 2099 patch was run 2 or 3 times, just do do a screengrab. I wonder if that threw things off. I'd be happy to start all over, just need to uninstall everything...
