98 V70 AWD Power steering pressure hose
How hard is it to replace the power steering pressure hose, I'm assuming a real pain since it's one piece from the pump to rack. To make it easier, I have an AWD LPT so extra stuff in the way.

Have a good luck at the access to pressure side union fitting on the rack. If it isn’t pristine, then the subframe and rack have to be dropped to get to it.
It isn’t a crazy idea to cut the new pressure line and put a swage union into the old pipe if the leak is upstream near the pump.

Steve just wrestled with this issue, and he pointed you in the right direction. Getting a wrench of any kind on the flare nut is gymnastic, and if there is any rust at all, you are probably faced with the drop-the-cradle adventure.
Cutting the hose off flush with the nut and then using a six-point socket may work, but you will still need room to swing all those tools.

I should update, did the repair a couple weeks ago. It was pretty easy. I removed the power steering hose clamps and brackets that secure the hard line of the power steering hoses. The pressure line is the upper hose on the steering rack, easily got to it using a crowd foot and an extension. I thought I would have to remove a bunch of other stuff to remove the hose, but I was able to wiggle it out easily from both sides without removing anything else. Installed the new house and refilled the power steering. Took me a total of 2 hours. I did put electrical tape around the ends of the hoses to protect from damage and debris in the hose while fishing the hose in. Then installed the o-rings when the hose was in position.

My hat's off to you. I just dropped the subframe a couple of weeks ago to replace the lines. I thought it was tough to wriggle the lines in there even with it out. It took half a day to scrub all the accumulated oily muck off the subframe.

I really respect those who got those lines off with the subframe in place. I have failed at that three times.
I did learn a trick recently that if you remove the rear engine mount (one m8 bolt, one m8/10 nut ) and get the mount out of the way you can get a crows foot onto the line coming down from the front. Mine have all been seized to the point where a crows foot would not break them free before stripping, so I plan on hanging the engine , dropping the subframe in back for any ps line work
On any of my p80s , if I have have the subframe down for any reason I’m sure going to inspect thoae ps lines for corrosion
