Moog versus Sachs top strut mount: Identical.

I have a couple of P80s and sometimes order parts ahead. The other day, I picked up a Moog top mount. Yesterday, I received a Sachs top mount from FCP. The parts are completely identical right down to the Made in Germany marks and the exact bearing used. Just thought I would toss that out since we always go on about which brands are the best. It's possible that Moog has more than one source, but I think it just makes sense for them to buy them from Sachs rather than manufacture the part themselves.

My main consideration is to try and avoid any auto parts made in the PRC China, especially if they contain rubber. I've just had bad luck with Chinese auto parts, though I have some absolutely beautiful made in China musical instruments.

Purchased a handmade Violin in Beijing around 5 years ago. Second generation violin makers and had two shops. Both kids thought it was a good deal compared to the Chinese violin on eBay sent from China. I'm not a musician but the kids felt both were good quality for the money.
