Weird electrical issues

Post by PooYork »

Good morning. It's been a while since I posted here. It's good to be back!

I have an '11 V50 that I had towed to the shop the other day with a dead battery. They've replaced the battery but they are saying that the battery is still being drained, even when the car is off. Prior to bringing the car in, the anti-skid light was on, this was on for weeks. Also, since I got the car, there have always been BLIS errors. I am told there are communication error codes in the computer but unfortunately I don't have info on these errors.

The shop plans to run more tests, using multimeters and other methods. This is a Volvo certified repair shop in my area.

Does anyone have any ideas I can recommend to the shop? I have a very close relationship with the guys over there and am well liked. I even work on my car with them sometimes.

Thank you!

Tell them to pop off the fuse panel underneath the glovebox and douse it with electrical parts cleaner.
