2006 Ocean Race XC70. Pretty good shape, but it seems that, maybe acid rain has done some etching in the topcoat. How do I eliminate these dime sized spots? I do NOT have power equipment.

In addition...there were two glued on badges on either front doors. They peeled off leaving glue residue. How do I get rid of that? Seems that a solvent would work best, but which one?

I plan to then clay/ wax and prepare for Fall. BUT

It would be best to provide a picture of the spot to determine how much damage, if any, in order to determine what's needed.

As for the glue depending how dry it is I've found olive oil, peanut butter or eraser wheel works all could work well with the last being more expensive. Neighbor's son purchased a 2010 Crown Vic P71 Interceptor so had a bit of decal glue to deal with. I don't know which he purchase after my suggestion but I saw him use it.

All three method will require patients depending on the condition of the residue with some elbow grease for the first two methods.
