New MVS t-shirts are in!

Post by matthew1 »

If you've been suffering from
  • social ostracization due to not being part of a recognized, worldwide car group
  • a lack of royal or navy blue t-shirts
  • generally poor wardrobe

... your ship has come in.

Ordering is open!

Navy -- $20 + $4 shipping any number - US and Canada

Navy order page | Navy order page for MVS Contributors - free shipping

There is no tax because I didn't want an additional headache.

Royal -- $24 + $4 shipping any number - US and Canada

Royal order page | Navy order page for MVS Contributors - free shipping

There is no tax because I didn't want an additional headache.

Don't put Royal shirts in the dryer for the first few washes. The ink is thicker, and I tested on low heat dryer and it "grabbed" a little. High heat would have not been great.

If you're not an MVS Contributor and buying multiple shirts and they're different colors, this PayPal system is clunky. Please pay the total, which will be $4 over, and I'll reimburse you via PayPal within hours. Sorry about this.

International

After testing, I've set International shipping at $25. Start here.

Bulk Shipping

Post to this thread if you want a shirt(s) and are in Europe or Oceania and want to save on shipping with a bulk shipment to your country. It probably makes sense to do it this way if there are 3+ from any single country.

I need to get better about actually stocking t-shirts instead of 3-4 year cycles, so that you and others won't have to try to catch these t-shirt trains...

Rates aren't as bad as I thought to NZ. Any chance you'd want to send on say 3 or so additional packages to other MVS members in NZ, if I send one mothership box? (Depends on if I get any additional NZ orders, naturally.) I'll include packaged shirts to make it easy, and I'll get you the money for these items' postage. Details TBD.

Same goes with CA, AUS, GB and FR... rates are all around US$33 for 5 lbs. Canada is about half that, so I might do direct to you Canuks.

Details

Two different shirts/ink, same screen. The Tultex shirts are mid-range, and feel good. The Royal blue shirts on Next Gen are better, and are higher quality than average of what's in my closet. Neither of these are the thin weight of the "Just Wrench It" shirts I sold 2 years ago... both are thicker.

Navy/day-glo ink, $20
  • Printed on Tultex brand (good), XS, S, M, L, XL
  • XXL not available because my printing house here in Denver can't get XXL size, I think due to worldwide product constraints due to Covid
  • Ink printing method is thin, meaning you can see the "grain" of the cotton

Royal/light yellow ink, $24
  • Printed on Next Level (better)
  • XXL not available because my printing house here in Denver can't get XXL size, I think due to worldwide product constraints due to Covid
  • Ink printing method is thick, meaning you cannot see the "grain" of the cotton

I'm going to wait a week before posting on MVS Facebook page and email about these shirts to give you forum diehards first crack. I hope I don't run out of sizes quickly.

I adjusted size ordering for this run from what I learned from the last run -- excepting XXL, which was unavailable from my supplier in both colors. Sorry about that.

In the photos the size my son is wearing is XS. Rose the housecat wears no size at all, and yes, she is the emperor.

Another photo so you know what you're getting. Both inks are the same pale yellow, but the Royal shirts are printed with a white base, so the Navy shirts tend to make it look day-glo because of the very light/very dark contrast.

The mailers arrived today, early, so I might open up ordering over the weekend and ship Monday. Check this thread for updates.

* orange Tabby housecat not included
