When the days get above 90 degrees, I work outside only in the morning.
I normally try to do that as well but this is my daily and I need to get to work on Monday morning. Nothing like a deadline to boost the fun factor.

Took my bevel gear off of my 06 v70r found out it is bad. Anyone know of one for sale? I have read that there isn't a cross over part for the 06 and 07 v70r as far as fi ding one in a junk yard.

The TF80 Angle gear is unique to the 2006 - 2007 S60R & V70R.
The M66 AWD Angle gear is a different story. It was used in 60, 70 & 80 series from 2003 - 2009.

I ended up replacing the middle exhaust with a new OEM one and took it to have the flex pipe replaced; used the OEM cat.

Also put the rear new KYB shocks I had bought since I had enough ground clearance. I had done the front shocks 3 months ago.

Rear shocks were made in Japan while the front are from Poland. I will keep you updated on quality/lifetime.

Car sounds very quiet! The ride is very very smooth. I highly recommend the KYBs over the Turkish made Sachs. It was a tough decision but I don't regret it.

Car is a 2004 S60 2.4 5spd

Serviced the Haldex unit with new oil and filter and Volvo brand Haldex pump. Always a nasty job dropping the exhaust and propshaft. Last year I put in a Dorman brand pump, it was about $300 cheaper than the Volvo one and lasted about 4 months.............I would have gladly paid an extra $300 yesterday to not have to do this job again! Anyways, AWD is restored and functional. The job ate up most of my Saturday, partly because the rear propshaft CV joint came apart when I pulled it out of the flange and a couple balls fell on the floor so I had to clean and reassemble the rear joint. Also rounded the nut on the flange trying to get it off with the impact, had to heat it up to get it to move, was I ever glad to see that the new pump comes with a new flange nut!

Replaced a melted H11 headlamp socket. The $10 NAPA #787143 seems better built than the originals.
Having the second lamp of a pair standing by rewarded me with perfectly matched headlights.
Time to buy another pair of low beams. Wagner standards from RA work well.

Put the Erinus wheels on with winter tires. I think the Tellus wheels look more appropriate for an '03 but I bought these with good winter tires for $300 and it looks better that black painted steel wheels.

Winter in New England is when you run A/C from time to time in December :(

I like those 16" Erinys, they look best on XC70.
