door stop bolt size

Post by tommylg »

Good Sunday morning.
I am attempting to fix the drivers side door stop.
There is no existing bolt and I hope a proper size bolt will fix the issue.
I am trying to remove the passenger side bolt and I have PB Blaster on it as we speak.
So, what size is the bolt and it's length.
With that said, is there anything anyone sees that I need to address at the same time, given the images?
Thanks much,
Tommy

This looks to be the same size as the bolt on my 2001 V70, but may be different. My V70 has 10 mm head.
Fix it as soon as you can. You do not want the stop to jam into the door frame on closing or the door to swing out too far and crunch outside sheet metal.
