NY to MA and Mt Greylock

Post by abscate »

Fall colors not in yet but they are coming.

Went to see Caitlin and NewDog, took the RaceBeetle to do the ziggy zaggy bits…

The summit of Greylock was just up into the cloud cover at 3900 feet, but the views just below were really pretty. It will be jammed in a few weeks

I just saw a reference to the RaceBeetle! These guys apparently built a GT3 version based on some video game car. All I could make out was "das auto" and "nicht so gut."

It's only just slightly ridiculous. I like the unfiltered, sand-filled air being sucked into the open turbocharger, and the turbo overrun flames blowing down the passenger door to burn off the paint.

Juliette the RaceBeetle is pretty fun, it’s got the 180 HP Turbo S 1.8 connected to 5 speeds. I only have 60 k on her so she is still quiet and solid. Gets about 30 mpg on highway.

Total chick magnet, especially when I have dog, and they can ignore BF Ugly Guy
