REPLACING SIDE WINDOW GUIDE MOULDING

Has anyone in the group done this? does the moulding need to be glued in place? I'm talking about the moulding, u shaped, that goes around the window when it is up. NOT the scraper.

I don't remember for sure, but I think it just gets wedged into a groove and trapped at the top and bottom. No glue.
