V50 fan comes on too soon

Post by PhilipH »

V50 1.8 petrol. The radiator cooling fan comes on when the gauge is at normal (middle of the gauge). I have replaced the thermostat and coolant temp sensor. The coolant seems to be flowing well. Any ideas on what to check next?

I wonder if it runs when it's at temp to maintain the temperature? Does the radiator fan run constantly, or does it cycle on/off even after it comes on too early? My radiator fan runs when at normal temp, and cycles intermittently even when the car is warming up.
