Motor block leaks from between 2 halves

Hmm, I do not remember seeing any access possibility back when I replaced the exhaust manifold.. probably something you have to know what you are looking for to see it.

Maybe only an RN block thing?

Here they are , right above the turbo oil return line. Oooof, those bolts aren’t coming out soon...

Pre-RN blocks all have them, FWIW.

He is from Great Britain. They drive on the wrong side of the road, which can cause confusion.

Correction. There are only three plates on the side of the engine facing the firewall that allow access to the piston oil squirters
