My 1995 855 NA passenger side headlight wiper motor acted up last month. I finally got the part today and tried to replace it. I got the passenger side headlight wiper out, headlight lower trim out, side parking light out, headlight out (very patient with the 2 bolts next to fender). Then the 2 bolts held the headlight wiper motor out. Now, I am stuck because I could not get the motor out due to the cable harness from CPU box blocking the motor under the headlight.
Is there any way to move the cable harness out of the way so that I can take out the bad headlight wiper motor and then put in a new one ?
Thanks,
Ching-Ho Cheng

Just shoot yourself now and save yourself the bother! The LHS is a real pain to do due to the main harness as you have found.
I am struggling o remember how I did it. I think the 850 was easier than the V/S70.
If I recall I ended up removing both headlights and sidelights and then removing the bolts for the radiator core support. This gives just enough room to wiggle the core support forward and tilt the top forward more.
You have to remove the 2 bolts and 2 Torx screws at the top where the radiator mounts to the core support, I think there were about 5 x 10mm headed bolts on each side that need removed. 2 are behind the bumper but there is room with a ratchet wrench to get in and do this without removing the bumper.
There may be a couple of bolts either side of the center hole for the radiator from the front tucked up with one in each corner.
It is a bit of a hassle to do, but not too hard. I recall having a how-to to do this from someone but can't find it now.

Thanks for the link. The OP re-posted the pictures in the second pages. As you had said, more bolts are needed to be removed to tilt the core support to get the motor out. I will give it a try either this afternoon or tomorrow.
Thanks,

Good Luck! I have done this on both 850 and V70 and the V70 was much harder as the core support jams on the front fender uppers where the sidelight sits.

I got the passenger headlight wiper motor out and replaced it with a new one. I followed the instruction in this thread viewtopic.php?t=62676. However, I was not as lucky as the OP of that thread. My car is 26 years old and located in Boston area. So some of the bolts for the radiator core support (front panel ?) were very rusty. I tried to be very careful and used PB blaster; still three of out the 7 bolts were broken during unscrewing. The remaining 4 bolts are holding the core support (front panel) now. So far, it feels solid. The 2 bolts holding the radiator/condenser to the core support were fine too.

Neil,
Thank you.
Now, I am waiting for the "fuel line" type clamp to arrive, then I can replace the coolant tank. It is a bit difficult to locate a fuel line type clamp of outside diameter 25mm. This is the size of the coolant tank hose. I found one in eBay from Australia called T-bolt clamp. However, the width of the clamp is about 18mm (about 3/4"). It may be too wide to fit under the coolant tank; will see...
Thanks,
Ching-Ho Cheng
