Yesterday I completed the new gutter drains. I used aluminum drain tubes attached to the vinyl guttering. Although not intended to work together, the 2 x 3 inch drain tube fit over the 2 x 2 inch drain from the gutter.
After getting the vinyl gutter installed, I thought about the brittleness of vinyl in below zero weather. Anyone had a cold weather failure with vinyl gutter?

The grass is visible again, but looks thin. I intend to restore the cool grass turf.

I've found a used Craftsman 18" Quiet Cut II push mower; it is clean. Does anyone know if there is a universal grass catcher that would fit, unless there is one with exact fit?

i like doing carpentry work. It is not too fussy and you make visible progress quickly. Something about open framing makes the structure look bigger than the finished building.

I built a 32 x 52 foot wood frame building 20 years ago with minimal help after the concrete floor. I built trusses for the roof. You can build trusses on the ground in a jig and with a day of helpers put them on the frame. Very satisfying work.

My projects have all been with a manual hammer. I have used a gas powered nail gun in the past. Those are convenient and handy. Unless the safety is damaged, current nail guns are unlikely to shoot nails in the air. BUT, you can press the nail gun to a hand or foot and pull the trigger. It does not know flesh from wood.
